Here's a few images from a new project I'll be working on if I can gain the access I need. The story would offer a glimpse inside the subculture of marijuana in the Unites States. I believe it to be a interesting and socially relevant issue and would like to explore both it's negative and positive impact on society. Further investigation of the story will be put off until I can research the legal ramifications of the story for myself and my subjects.

these are great david... They are so clean and graphic and fresh, which I think is the opposite aesthetic that most people would initially connect to anything dealing with a drug culture. I think it's this surprise that I really dig the most (not to mention they're each beautiful individually). rock on brother.
Thank you Ms. Mallett - always means more when it comes from a photographer with such a wonderful vision like yourself.
I moved to Oakland, CA from the east coast about a year ago and I'm fascinated by the bizarre world of medical marijuana out here. There is a section of downtown Oakland, right near my office, referred to as Oaksterdam because of all of the marijuana cafes (of course you have to have a prescription). And in LA they are testing out vending machines. Not entirely sure if this is the kind of thing you're after, but interesting all the same.
Great images man, great images. Completely agree with Shaena.
Thanks Brandon - you've been rocking it lately yourself.
Justin R. - That's exactly the kind of stuff I'm interested in - I'll be making a trek out there eventually to take a look at that side of the story . I'll hit you up when I do.
i think you are amazing. i hope you never stop making your art and putting your ideas into this world. you are making it a more beautiful place by the photograph!
